Season 2 Episode 2

Posted in Nuclear Power, Riley, Safe Word, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Season Two, Siranto Point, Spoilers, T1000 with tags , , on September 15, 2008 by nerdchieftain

This was a very special SCC for me, as my brother, who is without cable due to Hurriance Ike in Cincinnati, came over to watch.  It was a big event.

Today John met Riley, who slept over.  Interesting innocent twist.  I like how Riley is cool.

Sarah Connor narrowly adverted lethal radiation exposure and Cancer.  (If she had gotten cancer, it would have been seriously lame!)

And the T1000 roaming around with the Connors made a powerplay to automate the powerplant at Siranto Serrano Point, which will be the future rebel base.  Looks like this battle of Siranto  Serrano Point is lost to the machines.

My favorite part of the episode is the Baums (Sarah, John, Cameron, and Derek) now use a safe word to code in on the phone:  Current Day, Current Month.

Riley is in on the plan, so that is a potential security risk if she is compromised.

Question for debate: is Morris, the Latino friend, Emo?  Just want to be accurate.

Secrets from T:SCC Season 1

Posted in Agent Ellison, Cheri Weston, Demon Hand, Doctor Peter Silberman, Jordan, Morris, Pescadero, Season One, Spoilers, Wichita on September 15, 2008 by nerdchieftain

My Blu-ray of SCC treated me to an extended cut of the Demon Hand episode.

Sarah has a longer monologue on video tape from Pescadero.  Agent Ellison and the good Doctor Peter Silberman (retired from Pescadero) have an extended chat, which reveals why the good doctor belongs in Pescadero.

And there are two new High School scenes.

John enters Chemistry class to find a young man “bothering” his lab partner and confirmed loved interest, Cheri Weston.  The mysterious young man’s name?  Mr. Oxeford.  In the second scene, it is implied that this young man is behind the grafiti which lead to Jordan’s suicide, the Cheerleader.  In Cheri’s locker, it says, “Wichita.”  In the Cheerleder’s locker, whose lock John masterfully picks, it says, “Is he worth it?” with a picture of a basketball.  Both are written in spray paint by template.

So, Wichita is where something crazy happened to Cheri if you believe Morris’ background story.  (Morris is the latino love interest for Cameron and John’s “new best friend.”)  Let’s not forget what happens when John asks Cheri she is from Wichita: she flips out a lil bit.

Most Memorable Moment in the Season Finale

Posted in Agent Ellison, Agent Kester, Chromartie, Cloyd Dixon, Derek Reese, Kyle Reese, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Season One, Spoilers with tags on March 10, 2008 by nerdchieftain

I like how the Season Finale contained lots of character development and the characters make some kind of peace with each other.  Derek exposed Cameron’s deception about keeping the chip and I breathed a sigh of relief as ThisSalesman’s prediction that Cameron had a secret evil motive.  At least this time.

I nominate two moments in the season finale as having epic cinematic quality.

The first moment was when Derek took John to fulfill his ultimate desire for his birthday: meeting his father.  That snuck up on me.  I recognized Derek and Reese in the park early, but I didn’t see the, “Happy Birthday, John,” coming.  I have to say this human moment for Derek was important for me to consider him… well human and trustworthy.  Speaking of which, I don’t share John’s sentiment that he was telling the truth about not knowing whom his men were trailing.

The second moment was when Agent Ellison lead a team of FBI agents to arrest the Chromartie aka “Agent Kester” Terminator.  The shot from underwater of the Agents falling into the pool as the sounds of combat flared really lend a great sense of despair and hopelessness to the, well, hopeless situation.

Upon watching the season finale a second time on fox on demand, I realized how much potential there is in bringing Agent Ellison and Cloyd Dixon together after the disaster.  Ellison has more than just reasons to believe.  He will have retribution on his mind.  And… Cloyd can take him to Sarah Connor now that he is really ready to believe.

Is Summer Gone ?????

Is our favorite teeniantor -> Summer Glau gone?

I recently heard a nasty rumor that some who’s name rhymes with Woss Jedon is trying to lure our favorite season to a new show. Right now just rumors. I’ve also heard about a dancer type movie may take up a lot of her time.

Does anyone know when Fox will renew their shows and does Summer have an extension in her contract?

I for one would think that her “death” and lack of return could spell the end for the Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Somebody help….tell me the rumors are just that.

Tell me that Cameron ….(Spoilers)

regenerates from the bomb explosion and is back good as new.

Please Tell me….

Where do I know that guy from? TermiNerd looks at Dean Winters

Posted in Cloyd Dixon, Dean Winters, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Spoilers, The Queen's Gambit with tags , on February 12, 2008 by thissalesmanslife

By now you’ve seen “Charley Dixon” aka Sarah’s former boyfriend/Medic, on several episodes of SCC.

If you are like me, you see that guy and ask yourself “Where do I know him from?”

So after some personal confirmation that indeed that was him in that one show. Here is a list of where you might have caught Dean Winters on the Tube.

Dean was Tommy Gavin’s cop brother Johnny Gavin on USA Network’s “Rescue Me” – great stuff

Dean was also Detective Brian Cassidy on NBC’s “Law and Order SVU

He also found fame on HBO’s “OZ” as Ryan O’Reil.

Dean Winters has some serious acting chops and I’ve found him solid in everything I’ve seen him in.

Take a look over here at IMDB to see his other gigs.

Episode V Lands

There was lots of plot development in Episode V.

The following is a bunch of random ravings and observations.

John met his new car shop buddy… Morris. His lab partner / potential love interest is Sheryl Winters. And his lost uncle is Derek Reese.

Agent Kester now has some hard evidence: the triple 8’s left forearm, severed at the elbow joint. Complete with artificial blood, fake flesh, and (ta-da!) a metal endoskeleton.

The car chase was really fun, with a new car chase twist: Terminator wrestling in the back makes driving much harder.
